Here is the link for the 5K route for next week. Don't forget that EVERYONE (Privates and Corporals) will be meeting at the Fairgrounds. You MUST park in Lot 21, which is north of the Pork Patio/across from Conservation World.

The route is very confusing between mile 1 and 2 where you say go back to start then run se on grandstsand....please clarify...also if this is the same route as opening night the directions where not follwed that night the distance was less than 3 miles that night. thanks

I know what you mean by looking at the map at first glance. It can be confusing if you dont know the route very well.
Try this.
When you click on the link for the 5K, look on the upper left side. These are navigational settings. If you use the vertical bar, left click your mouse button and hold down on it and slide it up or down. Move the slider bar all the way to the top. It will zoom into the map to the closest setting. This will give you a better detail of the flow of the route. If you left click on the directional arrows, it will pan to a direction accordingly.

I forgot to add, by clicking on the map, look at the top of the map area. They also give general directions of the route in the description area.
Will we have to memorize this map or will the course be marked? Not that I am a fast runner, I will probably be somewhere in the middle, but it is helpful to know the distance you are at in order to pace yourself.
Our goal is to have course marshalls out on the streets directing the runners, the mile marker signs will be out, and mile splits will be called.
Looking for volunteers to help with the above duties. Anyone who is injured or not running, come on out! Family, come on out!
