The picture displayed here is of our group and I need to brag on them a bit. Not everyone in our group made the picture, but every one of our girls participated in the Women's Distance Festival and they were all first-timers to racing so a GREAT BIG KUDOS TO EACH OF THEM! They are extremely dedicated, hard-working, strong women and it's been an honor running with them. We ARE Team Mission: Possible! Looking good ladies!
here is what i have learned about this task of learning to be a runner/walker, the runners don't like the walkers, the walkers get little or no info, my first attempt at a race the wdf walkers times not even posted, I did learn how far to walk in the park for a mile and oh yah i did get a shirt for my 75.00
to anonymous: I'll be at the park on Tuesday. Before the walkers take off let me know who you are. I'm interested in what information you aren't getting and also more specifics about the WDF. We are always looking for input to make things better.
the wdf was well organized and really fun, just being picky i guess but i would have liked to have the walkers time posted, kind of gives you the satisfaction that you really did compete.
Hope your name is on there. If not download the pdf file, the "click here" on runners is misssing some names but pdf is not. Please visit www.abesarmy2008.blogspot.com and feel free to join us on Tuesday nights if you are a run/walker. You should be proud that you "did it" and I understand you want to know where you finished. I ran/walked behind someone who had a shirt on that said DLF is better than DNF and DNS (dead last finish is better than did not finish and did not start!)
